I live the pictures. Jaffa is oh so cute. Carol is right ferrets are incredibly smart. He just wants to make sure you know it. He may be hinting for a larger bed.

We are home and oh so happy! Dr S says Gracie looks great and her blood work shows she is doing very well. He said by just looking at her and her activity lever you would think she was maybe 2 or 3 years old. He was the vet for both of her parents and has cared for her since birth. He said keep up the liquid Melatonin. Thank you Carol for the great info you gave on the Melatonin a few years ago.

Tomorrow morning Gracie will see her vet. Gracie is now over 7 years old so she will be seeing Dr S at least twice a year. She is only going in for a healthy "baby" check up. I sure pray that everything will be OK.

I would like to submit Gracie for Ferret of the Month. Gracie's birthday is 09/31/2002. I first met her when she was 1 week old. I was doing some volunteer work at the shelter/breeder where she was born. I helped feed her and 24 other babies and that were learning to eat soup. I also got to play with all the kits. The breeder told me that Gracie would never find a forever home because she was very aggressive. She likes to bite faces. That is why I chose her. She still must be kept away from your face or she will latch on to a nose, cheek or lip. Other than that she is a very sweet little lady. We know when another ferret is sick because she will cuddle with the one that is sick before that ferret shows any signs of sickness. She told us Scarlet was sick before Scarlet did.

It is a great fit. I was shocked! She liked her sweater and did not even try to take it off. None of the other ferrets I have had would keep them on long enough to set them down, let alone take a picture. I took hers off when she went to sleep in it.

We received the cute ferret shirt in the mail yesterday. Thank you so much. I have some pictures to show you. Gracie is not the best model she refused to hold still unless she is asleep.

Happy Halloween!
I am looking foreword to this evening. I don't have to get up at 2:30 am so I can stay up and hand out candy to all the cute little kids. The weather will be good the low will be 54. I am sure it will not get that cold until after the kids are home in bed.

These two were only here for four days this time. They came on Thursday and the previous three left the Sunday before they came. We hope someone else needs a sitter soon! By ferretsitting you get all the fun and none of the vet expensive. We took in a rescue dog at Christmas last year thinking a dog would not be as costly. We had over $500 into him the first month and this weekend's vet visit cost another $400+. Free dogs are not free!

our last two visitors went home this evening. They have been here before and get along well with Gracie. They were not as hyper as they as they were last year. They are now about 2-3 years old. It always seems so empty when they all go home.
