Deslorelin implant is good for 12 months

On my regular vet :
Lupron 500 mcg monthly depot was $280.50 ca +$49.50 for a quick examination (for Nahum)
Lupron 200 mcg montly depot was 130.50 ca +$49.50 for a quick examination (for Bear)
Finally I get a prescription for the Lupron and the vet charged me only for the injection. I was good for 5 months for Nahum at 500mcg monthly depot and 5 months for Bear at 200mcg monthly depot. The price was $368.99 ca ordered to my local pharmacy.
A general Physical examen is $80.50 ca

Things are so expensive now it's ridiculous. Would you believe a year ago in most of our southern states the adrenal surgery only cost around $300.00. It's always been expensive up here in New York, around $1,000.00 for the left or a lot more if the right adrenal is involved. Have you used the Deslorelin before or is this the first implant?
